Penmon Lighthouse

This morning we drove out to Lligwy to see the remains of a village from 400AD.  There was also an old ruined Chapel of Ease.  We then walked up the road a bit to see an old burial mound.

We then drove down to the beach at Lligwy and had a quick wander and some lunch there before driving through to Penmon Lighthouse to meet up with the rest of Tim's family.  We had fun walking on the beach and photographing the lighthouse before we stopped for tea and some lovely cakes - recommended!

We drove through to another bit of Red Wharf Bay on the way back to the cottage, down some very thin and very steep roads - I'm glad we didn't meet anyone coming the other way!

Then it was to the shops for a bit of food to go with the things we have left in the freezer before returning back to the cottage for dinner.
