A surprising day

We had a long drive from Monterey California to Eureka California today.  Changes in temperature; this morning at the coast around 55° , in land around 100° , and back to the coast this evening at 65°.

We stopped for a picnic lunch at a winery, (bottom right shot).  

When we checked into our hotel in Eureka, we were surprised they offered a complementary limo service around town  (two left side photos).  We are staying at a Best Western hotel, so nothing over the top. The hotel also has a covered outside area with a pool, hot tub, fire pit, tables and a billiards table. This is the first we have seen something like this at a Best Western.  Our dinner was nice at a water front Japanese/Italian restaurant (middle right is the view from our table).  A surprising restaurant combination, we had the Japanese and it was very good. I hope this makes sense. It was all very unusual.

EDIT: also there was a live concert on the dock by the restaurant .
