Ant's thought of the day.

Lulworth Castle, Lulworth.

Number two in my week long buildings and structures folly. Took the family to Lulworth Castle and Cove in Dorset for the day and got this blip image with the phone. The castle is brilliant and has a great history dating back to 1606 and has been in the same family since around 1641. Lulworth Castle was designed as a hunting lodge and has seen a fair few kings and queens pass through its doors. In 1929 there was a disastrous fire that completely destroyed the insides. As I said, a full and really interesting history and brilliant to see how it has been opened up and restored to a museum and event venue. It's well worth a visit, along with the surrounding area of Lulworth.

My thought, taking a day off work and spending quality time with the family is what you need sometimes. It was a great day.

Oh, I also took my digital SLR and ended up with some great shots of the family, forgotten how good the camera is.
