Two Locos

Today was another beautiful day and since our local railway preservation society was having a vintage weekend, where else was I going to go? The main steam engine running while I was there today was the British Rail standard 4 tank no. 80002, Keighley and Worth Valleys steam work horse. This weekend also saw the diesel shunting loco D0226 in action. With diesel electric transmission, the D0226 was built in 1956 by English Electric at its Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows. While I enjoy watching the big steam engines in action, I have already blipped the 80002 (10 March), and thought I should include the D0226 in today's picture.
