Tree ‘thinning’

Euroforest have brought their giant tree cutting machines up to Farley wood and are busy conducting ‘tree thinning’ operations. This is fortunately a little less like the ‘battle of the Somme’ operations that they usually do when they clear fell huge areas. This time they are cutting strips through the trees. Even though they are not native trees it is a shame to see them go.

My guess is they like to do this now as there is no pressure on them to replant anything.
