The weekend weather is not being cooperative with all the jobs I have to do in the garden!  More heavy showers and odd bits of sun today.  Decided to head to the garden centre to top up the bird feed, then accompany P to Strathaven and have a swim.

Apparently during the school holidays, there's a 'fun float splash' on at the pool, so I went for a wander to get some milk from the farm and popped in to the carpet shop to wait for the floating / splashing / funning to be over in the pool.  Chap in the carpet shop seemed like he knew what he was on about, so that might be the next job after the insulation is put in.  Still a bit of fun happening in the pool, but I got a wonderous calm five minutes between the parents and toddlers leaving and the buff guys in their early twenties doing frantic front crawl across the pool (all splash and no susbtance).  After meeting up with P we then took a trip to the climbing wall where I had a cup of tea and a biscuit and read the most harrowing chapter of my book.
