The Wave Pond

Visiting my dad in the ‘new town’. The route to the bus terminal passes this. There’s more to this artwork; it extends to a wall of concrete panels out of sight in this view.
The town was laid out to include public art, a million trees, and with pedestrian safety in mind. Some of these admirable principles have been compromised over our shared lifetime but I’m always somewhat stirred by what remains, perhaps the vision of a better world. All of this is debatable of course
