Yellow Flags

It was lovely outdoors this evening. I've been waiting for the Flag Irises in the bog garden to flower but, as they are in a shady spot they're lagging behind these that I found growing wild along the roadside.

Unlike their bearded cousins who like their rhizomes being baked in the sun, these wild flag irises like damp conditions.

I just caught the last of the evening sun on the way home. Decided not to do any alterations in PS on this one.
