After the play

Happy Days was absolutely wonderful in the Olympia. This is the Beckett play where Winnied in sand, fort up to her waist and then to her head. Siobhán McSweeney was magnificent. We were very surprised at interval time when we realised how much time had passed (always a good sign) and even more so when the clock said ten when it finished. A great night (and we were very pleasantly surprised as the large number of young people in the audience lapping it all up).

Our seats were just across form a side exit we hadn't even been aware of, so we made for that. Right across from us was The Wild Duck, a hostelry we'd never heard of before or even knew existed. What a find! The perfect way to finish an evening in town.
