First Flight

First landing, fresh from the nest, I believe. Two babies and one adult were sitting just outside our window. A minute later, the parent and one of the youngsters had flown off. I was concerned for this baby, expecting one of the local feral cats to appear round the corner of the house at any second. Didn't need to worry for long, though, as a juvenile blackbird came along and was too interested in the sparrow for its comfort, so it gave its wings another work-out and was off.

A day of gardening and knitting - and falling asleep. (I always find knitting soporific.) Mr PP has made further progress on the hall tree, but it won't be fully finished immediately until we finalise which side of the door it's going to sit. Meanwhile, we're planning to have a new front door in any case. (The current one steals heat from the house and allows gales in, we discovered in the winter.)
