Baby Cardinals

Mama and Papa Cardinal’s eggs are beginning to hatch.
I found one egg close to the nest on the ground. None of the eggs had hatched at that time. Perhaps birds practice birth control???
Now to see how many babies will survive. I have to remind myself of a science rule; Only the strongest and most fit babies will survive.
I will have to be careful to not become too attached to this cardinal family…..
