Between fen and mountains

Marsh marigolds

We left Castleton this morning and stopped off at Lathkill dale to visit the commemorative bench. The marsh marigolds were looking splendid and the dale looked lovely in the sunshine.
Someone was wild water swimming, despite the notices reminding people that the site is one of the Special Scientific Interest and that dogs or humans entering the water damage the environment. We called in for lunch with C and C and had a walk around the village before setting off to arrive in Lincolnshire later in the afternoon.
