The Artist's Eye

Concert time again and what a concert it was. After the first movement of the Tchaikovsky violin concerto, the audience exploded in applause and many stood. Bellingham audiences know the drill and normally wait patiently until the end of the piece to acknowledge the soloist. But the excitement was just too great to contain. The director quipped, after the clapping died down, “we pay him to play three movements.” The concert ended with Dvorak’s eighth symphony. The director has my vote so far. The concert was riveting.
