Lead Church - Early Summer

This is St Mary's Chapel, more commonly known as Lead Church. It is just down the road from the battle field at Towton, the site a battle in the War of the Roses. It is commonly acknowledged as the bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil. The battle was fought on Palm Sunday 1461, and was won by the Yorkists.

This chapel is located in a nice little paddock field, and I think it has a lot of blip potential for future visits.
