Shield Bug

Phoned the surgery this morning re blood results as I had received a message  to contact them. Eventually got through and they sent me a link to book an appointment next week and the only dates were August. We went in to collect our medication saw the receptionist she couldn't understand what had happened and booked an appointment for Tuesday.
Made sourdough then we went to the garden centre  and called for coffee in the village on the way back.
Spent most of the rest of the day pottering in the garden, I was watering
this evening and saw this lovely shield bug on the astrantia and nicely colour matched so took a few pictures .
Sunny very hot ( 30c ) and humid all day
