Yellow tailed black cockatoo

Back from a cold and windy walk in Sydney Park where I saw a flock of six yellow tailed black cockatoos in the casuarina, eating its nuts. Imagine my surprise as they are rarely seen in Sydney. I've seen lots of them in the Blue Mountains where they are considered by some to be heralds of rainy weather. While there's no doubting the yellow feathers on this one's cheek, there's only a hint of yellow to be seen on its tail feathers which need to be spread for the yellow to show.

I've posted the extra for some Saturday silliness. Smokey says, 'Next time you go away I'm coming with you.'
