Stroll to Prestonpans

The weather forecast looked much improved from the predictions on the previous evening, and it was a 2nd Saturday Stroll morning. No 44 bus to Musselburgh.
There are two parallel paths, one wide and with recently laid loose stone, one narrower and tarmaced,  all the way to Prestonpans, next to the sea wall. They pass the former ash pits for the former power station, now lagoons. The path in the blip is likely to be covered at high tide.

More background and views . Prestonpans has some good old stone houses, and stone walls, as well as more modern housing. We stopped at the Tower ; it would have been quicker to go back by train, but we wandered back to the main street and got a 26 bus back.

Into the city in time to fetch a newspaper and be indoors before the heavy rain came on in the late afternoon.
