Refresh

Oh thank goodness!! A glorious summers-like day with no work needing attending! This better mean summer is here to stay.

Today, after living in the area for a year and a half, we made it to Brixton Village. It was pretty colourful and smelled delicious (well... sometimes). I will be returning to hit up the WAG Free restaurant for a breakfast or something similar. WAG standing for wheat and gluten. YAY!!!

Went to the green grocers and garden centre. Why aren't there more green grocers? I mean supermarkets are cool and everything, but green grocers are kick ass. We got enough fruit and veg to feed a small army, and for just over a tenner. Just near the end of tallying up our bill, the grocer got bored of maths and just threw the remaining produce in a bag and called it at £13. There was probably another few quid of food there, but he had had enough! Plus they are sosososo nice! Thanks Mr. Green Grocer. You're fantastic!

A few days ago the man went to the butchers to collect our weeks worth of meat (and then some). Again - so cheap. I'm not sure why we ever went to a super market. From now on I think we'll be sticking to the independently run, individual specialist shops. All we need now is a decent local fish monger and cheese monger.

Anyway, after all our walking, sun absorbing and shopping, we decided a mojito was in order.

I. Friggin. Love. Mojitos.

And to forever capture the refreshing quenchy taste of the first mojito of the season, here's a gently smushed lime miraculously floating at the bottom of my glass. Which did not remain full for long.
