Common greenbottle fly.

A bit of gardening, a lot of reading and not much else. The window cleaner came and I commiserated with his car problems.  The book of insects I ordered came and took up a lot of my time.  It's very comprehensive and fascinating. Searched the garden in the hope of finding an unusual insect but no luck. Soldier beetles mating were monopolising the moon daisies so I had to settle for an  ordinary fly whose only merit was not being blue.
