Lock and handle

Spotted this on my walk this morning and wondered why I've never noticed it before!  I see a bird's face in the lock.  :-)
Last year on this date, there was a junco nest with baby birds in our thyme plant. There are a couple of juncos that hang around the garden often, in and out of the beds and pots, and I think that they might be the ones that were born here!
