Photographic sculpture "Colin Smith" in Ås, Norway
The Norwegian artist Garder Eide Einarsson was invited to make a sculpture for the high school in Ås. He made this 3 metre high sculpture of the English working-class boy Colin Smith from the film "The loneliness of the long distance runner" from the 60s and in played by Tom Courtenay.
I think it's a brilliant idea, and it also made me want to see the film. The motif is about the Colin's relationship with a world of adults and authority figures that I guess the students in the high school can relate to.
Sadly the school lost one of their student in a car accident for two days ago.
