Saint Hubertusmill

The Sint Hubertusmolen is a semi-enclosed standard mill in Klein Genhout (Beek) in Limburg. The mill was built in 1801 as a closed standard mill and was in operation until the late 1940s. The mill was given its current name in 1943. In 1970, the Sint Hubertus mill was sold for 1 guilder to the municipality of Beek, which had it restored, whereby the foot was semi-closed and the ground around the mill was raised so that the dice came to lie deeper in the ground. The cabinet is painted ocher yellow.

There are two grinding pairs, but only the front mill is used for grinding. This grinding couple has 17der (150 cm diameter) blue grinding stones. The ballast layer of the rear mill runner has come loose from the grinding layer. This grinding pair has 17 artificial stones. A stone crane is available for opening the grinding couple.

The weather vane represents Saint Hubertus on horseback. The hood and the storm beam are covered with oak shales. The staircase has two parallel trees.

The refuge is Old Dutch gated and 25.20 m long. The welded rods were made in 1970 by the company Derckcx. The outer rod has number 44 and the inner rod is number 45. From 1943 to 1971 the mill had Van Busselneuzen.

The mill has rail posts at the stone beam. There are sludge under the long burrie beams. The grease hole for the storm pin is on the front of the brick beam.
