Volleyball Nations Legue

We spent all day watching volleyball at the Hermosa AVP, then hightailed it to Anaheim for a U.S.A. Men's National team match against Argentina. We had forgotten what it means to be in a big city at a major sporting event. It took almost half an hour to get into the parking structure, than another 20 minutes to get inside the convention center (thank goodness we didn't have any kind of bag, that would have been another half hour). We missed the first dozen points of the game, but were eventually rewarded with a five set thriller, including the longest set in VNL history, a U.S.A. loss 43-41 (teams play to 25 points, win by 2) in set #4. The game started at 20:30 and we didn't get out of the parking garage until just before midnight (after another 15 minute wait in the traffic exit line). Even with all the waiting, the volleyball was superb!
