You Otter Be Careful

As we walked along the path there was a rumor that an otter was trying to get on a surfboard. Well who wouldn’t want to see that? It took a long time to spot him, and to me it seemed that he was more intent on annoying those boys than anything else. It looks like he’s grabbing the leash and tugging on it. The kids were splashing at it and yelling, down he’d go, then bob up again. Not sure if it was a game or a territory thing or what but it was interesting to watch for awhile on this absolutely beautiful summer day. It seemed to me that I could smell Coppertone and taste the sand in a tuna sandwich, even though the beach was pretty far away.
