Trials #2

Betsy had her second trial for GB today. She was very nervous. Her friend Ellie came along for a session to see if she might like to start softball next season. She did very well.

Betsy had an hour of drills for the first part of the trial. Then they played a game. She shovelled in some lunch and they had the second trial session. Then she had a session with some pitching coaches who have come over from the US. Then she went to join her team and play two league games. Six hours in total - insane! But I never see her so happy as she is on the diamond with her team, 'hussle up, let's get this started!'

She even had a couple of innings playing as catcher, (behind the batter, covered in body padding), a position she has never played before, but she's so up for anything. She is batting here, I love the expression on her face!

The coaches told her that they will let us know by email tomorrow. She played like a demon, gave it everything, and if courage and determination count for anything, she'll get through. I feel very proud of her, I would apologise for being so soppy but no one reads this anyway, haha!
