Volucella Pellucens

The pellucid hoverfly. I think that's what I spotted on the meadowsweet this morning. I had another possible snap with the meadowsweet in better focus but less detail on the fly. 

Tuesday started as usual at 08:45 with the five way zoom chat. My four friends have now all reached their milestone birthdays but as I'm the baby of the group I still have a few weeks to go. Good to hear all the news. 

Dodging the showers I walked Flora and I'm now home for much prep for this evening. It looks unlikely that we'll be in the garden so I have to focus on getting the table set inside. There could be 10 or 11 of us so I must sort myself out for a welcoming space.
