Roll With It

Shattered

About a week ago I realised that today was going to be a long and tiring day. I needed to be at Ponsharden Boatyard for 8:30am in order to be on the water for 9:00 am. No more gentle rowing down to the harbour and back for us. A crew from Epic has entered The Great River Race, this is Londons River Marathon. On the 16th September we will row our gig from Millwall in the east to Richmond in the west, a total of 21.6 miles. We thought that July would be a good month to start training.
We went out round Black Rock, shown in the main picture, and back, a total of around 6.5 miles, at least it’s a start!
Home around midday for a late brunch and shower I had a quick glance through todays paper over a coffee before heading to the rugby club.

Providing access to the club for Richard (of Friday Coffee) and his family and friends to set up and decorate the club for Jackie’s Colourful & Noisy Send Off tonight.
Home once more for a ‘Battle Nap’ before finding my loudest BBQ shirt and heading up with Mrs S, Sam and Paddy.
A wonderful evening which, being hungover, will be the topic of tomorrows Blip!
