Down in the basement

I went to Wimpole Hall early today to shadow a Sneaky Peek tour of the basement. It is a quick tour into all the basement rooms that are normally locked up but were used in the past. We get asked what is behind so many locked doors by a lot of visitors.

A boot room, a lamp room, a wine cellar, a servants' dining room, a flower room, a laundry and so it goes on. The group of 8 visitors were very curious and seemed to enjoy the tour. I will shadow another tour in the coming weeks before I take one.

Blip is of the room that was used for the servants' dining room. The extra is of the other side of the room. All very basic compared with the luxury upstairs.
