We started the day with some sunshine but that didn't last long. Very cold winds picked up and the odd shower passed by. It has cleared again this evening.

I had my Hydrotherapy this afternoon and the class was full.

This evening we went into the city for a meal. Then we walked around Victoria Square where they were holding the light festival for Matariki.

In Māori culture, Matariki is the Pleiades star cluster and a celebration of its first rising in late June or early July. This marks the beginning of the new year in the Māori lunar calendar.
