A day of mixed weather meant no painting, but we did get to B&Q and Voss had a nice wander

I also got some lovely herbs for the troughs at home.

The chives, oregano and sorrel made it through the winter, but mostly the rest have given up the ghost.

The mint went wild early on the year and seems to have exhausted itself with just a few green leaves on top of quite long woody stalks, so I cut them all off and shoved them into some water to take their chances

I am going to set them along the fence opposite the back door when I have planted the troughs up ... Not so much baking sun on that side of the garden so maybe they will be happier
