Colors

The guy who manages Oakfields Farm kept telling us to go down one of the driveways and look at the field(s) of wildflowers he had planted. Butterflies and birds, he said. So this morning we did. There were a gazillion barn swallows zipping around, but I particularly liked this goldfinch. I'm glad we bothered to look! It's a looooooong driveway so we only went to the first wildflower field.

The extra is the mother/child pair we saw in the woods at the bottom of our driveway this morning. I suppose it could be the same pair as yesterday, but it could just as easily not be.
