New boiler

We had our boiler replaced today, our old one having given up the ghost after 18years of service. We’ve installed another gas boiler. Not great for the planet I know but we live in a large drafty granite house and we’re advised that heat pumps are just not effective given our situation ( I don’t know anyone that has one).
Our long term plan is to downsize but that’s not possible at the moment for family reasons.
