Auchmithie cliffs and beach

Auchmithie is on the Angus coast, near Arbroath. It used to be a fishing village but (in my mind) it is now mainly noted for an excellent restaurant and the spectacular red sandstone cliffs, seen here. It also has a derelict harbour - see extra. It looks very sad and seems to have been badly designed and badly constructed. It was damaged by storms several times during construction. When complete, the fishermen still had to drag their boats up the beach as the harbour did not provide enough protection from storms. Today, I could only see one very small boat on the beach and one wreck.
