It's a day full of emotional moments, a last day of school. Table drawers are emptied, bookcases are cleaned and tidied up. Classrooms emptied and filled again at the same time, because there will be changes in the new school year. The shredder breaks down and the waste paper container fills up before noon.
Gifts are exchanged.
Memories too
Nearly 75 school leavers walk through the building in white t-shirts with felt-tip pens. Collecting as many names as possible is the goal. There is crying, laughing, chatting.
Embraced
DJ in the schoolyard. Baking smell from the kitchen. All decorations are removed.
Cleaned up

Then it's time to say goodbye to the school leavers. One by one they run down the stairs, across the schoolyard through the guard of honor decorated with arches to the slide and down the mountain
out the gate

When all the children have gone home, we, teachers of the two schools, say goodbye to the school year in the schoolyard. Bid two colleagues
farewell
Fransje and I drink wine and eat the previously prepared tapas in an empty room. We commemorate in silence while we talk about
happy moments
