Hotel Du Lac

I finished reading this book today. It didn't take too long to read, it's not the length of your average novel but all the same, it didn't need to be any longer.
It's set in a hotel on the shore of Lake Geneva, Switzerland. The main character is Edith, a writer of romantic novels, who's own personal life has taken a turn for the worst, thus her family and friends suggest she takes some 'time-out' far removed from her current situation.
Unfortunately, it's not the hotel's busy season and she sees the same guests most days, who themselves have been cast aside in different ways from their own family and friends, so the story elaborates on their backgrounds too.
It was an ok read...it's written in rather an older style and you do actually feel as if you're there, watching from the side. Probably worth a 6/10 in my view...an easy read but not a gripping page-turner!
Now, onto the next book...
