My Life With Luna

By chrisA

We spent a lovely few hours at the Suffolk Punch Trust today, before we had to leave because of the rain.   This gorgeous little foal stole my heart so just had to blip a postcard of her and with her Mum and also included a flock of Suffolk Sheep that live on the site.
The foals Mum is called Annabelle and because the foal hasn't been officially named yet the staff are calling her 'Babybel'   She was born on the 18th June, so not quite a month old yet, but very bold straying quite a distance away from Mum, who was keeping a strict eye on her whereabouts.
Poor Luna was zapped by an electric fence but after some cuddles and reassurance was fine, she did keep to the middle of the tracks on our walk around the paddocks though !!
After a delicious lunch we did a tour of their two museums, one for vintage farm implements and the other for the Suffolk Punch heritage and farming life until mechanisation took over.   So interesting and we will be visiting again soon.
Now to fill in the 'Adoption Form' for Colony Edith, chosen because that was my Mum's name and I'm trying to do my little bit to help the trust,
