Clematis

The first batch were purple and have gone to seed. I was happy to see this new vine coming up. I really like this color. These are some more flowers that I never planted but tend to now..sort of.

The exciting news from this morning was as I was walking down to the Long Pond, suddenly, without a glance my way, a bobcat quickly walked across the road. I wish I could have seen what my face looked like as I processed what I had just seen. Big cat... short, bobbed tail... A Bobcat!!!!
I wished it well and told it to stay away from our neighbor and my chickens :-)

Still waiting on the rain. It's supposed to happen tonight.
