wander, stumble, wonder

Bedtime snacktime

It hasn't been a particularly busy day, but I have been somewhat successful in some endeavours. Had a great time chatting to some of my law bunch on google hangouts this morning, then whittled away the afternoon with writing a talk for youth tonight, clearing up my hard drive, and... general other Sunday things? What is it about Sundays that just makes the time disappear? It's not even like I'm a weekday worker with a weekend to treasure!

But after a great evening of church, youth and some socialising it's time to be tucked up with one of my favourite books, some toasted banana bread and some hot milk. I like to think of it as nanna time ;)

I like reading different translations of this book because every one brings out the best of some line or another.

History neglects nearly all these particulars, and cannot do otherwise; the infinity would overwhelm it. Nevertheless, these details, which are wrongly called trivial, - there are no trivial facts in humanity, nor little leaves in vegetation,- are useful. It is of the physiognomy of the years that the physiognomy of the centuries is composed.
- Victor Hugo
