Tradescantia zebrina – Silver Inch plant

In between squalls I went to the cabin on the patio where I keep the bulk stocks of sunflower seeds for the bird feeders which hang outside. I sat for a few minutes enjoying the much warmer climate in the cabin, a result of the excellent insulation built into the structure.

This zebrina plant has grown from cuttings off the old plant we have indoors. The sunlight it gets in the cabin has ensured its lovely purple colour is vivid. I must bring the mother plant in the house out here for a period of convalescence.
