Scottish Thistle

Very heavy rain this morning in both St Monans and Pittenweem but not here in Elie which is just a couple of miles down the coastal road.

After taking Keta for a walk we headed to St Andrews for a supermarket shop and there was no rain there either. A few ominous clouds clouds overhead but until our journey back to Elie there was no rain.

The Botanic Gardens are very near to Morrisons so with an annual pass even a quick visit is worthwhile.  The large Scottish Thistles are structural but very, very prickly.
