Backblip - coral

I took this yesterday while helping to set up an exhibition containing artwork done by ‘students’ from a colouring course. The course is based on designs from nature, and the drawings are all done with ordinary coloured pencils. This piece, based on coral and looking at shading from light to dark, is unfinished and done by the course tutor. She says each individual piece of ‘coral’ takes about an hour to complete.

The white mark at the top is unfortunately a reflection of light from a dormer window, and I couldn’t avoid it!

The exhibition was in the village hall where the course members meet, and was part of a bigger ‘festival’ at the village hall. Today the event took place and I photographed the finished exhibition, but will post a photo from today later.
