Today being beset by periodic downpours, and I mean bucket over the head stuff, we just sat about drinking coffee and etceteras, and reading books. Though not this one.

I can imagine there are much better things to be called, than this. Though probably worse ones too.

As I post this we’re watching a Kinks retrospective. A track from The Beat Room in 1964, which I remember watching at the time. Heck they were good, and none of your miming. And then there were those nights at the original Marquee Club in Wardour St. Ah, them was groovy days.

Mind you, listen to a recording of Sunny Afternoon, and convince me that the studio tape wasn’t slipping when they pressed it onto vinyl.
