Here and Now

Saturday Showers

Hot and humid but went for a morning TA hike with TM at South Chagrin anyway.  We stopped after 1.25 hours with perspiration running down everywhere.  Surprisingly, there were lots of people in the park today.  One little boy asked if there was a troll under the bridge.  When Tom told him "only on weekends", the little boy ran and clung to his mother.  Oh he does stir up trouble, that one!

Then on to Chagrin Valley Farms, the old/new venue for the Chagrin Hunter-Jumper Classic.  None of us thought it was as enjoyable as when it was held at the old polo field owned by the Metroparks at  South Chagrin Reservation when it had sponsors with deep pockets.  Oh well.  We only saw a couple of competitions before torrential rain began to fall, putting the kibosh on the rest of the day.  We visited horses in the stables until the downpour subsided enough to jump into the car. The rain was even blowing into the center of the stables through the open stall windows.

One extra with SL enjoying a horse moment.
