Anyone for croquet?

We have spent the last two nights on Prince Edward Island which is an absolute delight with long sandy beaches, rolling pastures and pretty villages, summer is definitely here.
..... and now the hotel we are staying in - this is again a home converted into a hotel, it started out life as a summer house for an extremely wealthy American oil man  and it is just wonderful and built for the hot humid summers here with big wide verandahs with wicker seating where one just wants to lounge sipping mint julips looking out over the lake towards the sea and huge inside rooms with polished wooden floors.  The place is just right to play croquet on  the vast lawns.
We eschewed the restaurant In the hotel last night and went about 5k up the road to a fishing port where we lined up with a crowd for an outside fish meal.  Came back after a lobster roll and fish & chips and sat outside happily with a glass of wine.
Today we move on to Charlottetown, the capital of this province.
