Receding

Yesterday, the little brook at the edge of my property rose 3-4 feet and covered the road for the first time that I can remember.  This morning it has receded significantly and the road is again passable.  With 3 inches of rain, there was a lot of local flooding.  Thankfully, my house wasn’t threatened.  A sunny day today but more rain tomorrow afternoon.  I hope the technician can restore my internet before it starts.  Gift#197: flood waters receding.
