Nethan Valley

The Glasgow Fayre bank holiday continues and I went for an explore along some of the Clyde Valley walkway.  Despite the app telling me that the Lanark buses were running, it turned out they were on Sunday service which meant the big Lanark bus was nowhere to be seen.  However, the Sunday bus turned up and it appeared that it was driven by a woman who thought she was Stirling Moss.  It was a wild ride down to the bottom of the valley where I was very glad a) for the seatbelts on the bus and b) to get off the bus in one piece.  Thankfully the rest of the day was more tranquil.

Favourite bit of the walk was passing the Clyde Valley Family Park where you could pet the sheep through the fence and there were goats hanigng about on the path too.  Blip is taken after the climb out of the valley, overlooking the Nethan valley, which is apparently one of the few remaining Scottish Ancient woodlands.

Fun day exploring, now to see how the legs will hold up at kettlebells and yoga...
