Another Jakarta-ism

Quite often in the streets of Jakarta you see people dressed up in these costumes, of 7 feet tall figures. I think they are called Ondelondel (correct me if I am wrong). They are usually accompanied by others asking for money.

It’s quite easy to get spooked if you are out at night and one walks round the corner unexpectedly (or maybe I’m too easily spooked !)
