Magic falls

Went to Aber Falls with my son, after he surprisingly agreed to go up a mountain in wales. This contrasts to the usual “ummm why?” reaction so we left immediately after breakfast, so not to risk him changing his mind.
The falls were amazing, with all the rain we had over the last few days, it created a spectacular display!
We decided to go up the scree slope, past an old ravine and stepped into a really remote valley at the top of the waterfall. Walking along the river were series of cascading small falls, delicious blueberries and we spotted some wild horses, one with a little baby.
We were the only people who got that far, the path almost disappeared but we decided to go up through the rocks, heather and scree. We came across several mangled pieces of metal, which was really weird to find in the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain. It turned out to be the remains of an aircraft that crashed there in the 1940ies.
All in all, we had quite an adventure and both tired but happy at the end of the day!
