Kahu

Yesterday as I was heading home I slammed my brakes on at this point because there was a pair of ducks crossing the road.  

This afternoon at the same place,  I guess another driver didn't stop.   Dead duck.  Sad but at least it is supporting the cycle of life.

The kahu was very intent on his meal.  He let me get within about 20 metres of him.  Unfortunately I only had my phone on me.
