Wash and brush up time

This is Monday 17 July

While I have enjoyed the pool, cooling and a great place to exercise, so has the local bird life. Sparrows came and drank, totally unafraid of humans either in or out of the pool as did the local crow and many swallows as you see in Extras.  The crow preferred to visit alone, giving warning calls to any other bird that dared to intrude as he soaked food to soften it, drank and on a couple of occasions had a quick wash.
The swallows swooped only to drink and preferred an empty pool.  So quick were they that the only way that you could tell if they'd managed to get some water was if theere was a circular ripple afterwards!  Also in Extras some very poor shots just to prove that they did call and I was unable to photograph them well!
